Senedd - Pupil Parliament

St David's CiW Pupil Parliament - Senedd Ysgol Dewi Sant

Pupil Parliament is a group of dedicated pupils who represent their peers and ensure that every pupil's voice is heard. We meet regularly to discuss school improvements, share ideas, and plan events that make a positive impact on our school and wider community. From fundraising for charities like Children in Need and Comic Relief to shaping school initiatives, we work together to create a school environment where everyone feels valued and included.

Pupil Leadership Team 2024-2025

The Pupil Leadership Team meet regularly with Mrs Underhill-Jones to discuss ways of improving the school. Their role includes driving whole school projects to promote the 4 purposes of the new curriculum as well as ensure that the four purposes are being developed in other pupil voice groups.

Representatives are elected by their peers in their other pupil voice groups and they take the views of their group to meetings where they can be discussed.

We are elected by our peers through a fair voting system. We have to present our arguments for why we think we would be great members of Pupil Parliament

Mission Statement

Children in Need 2024

Pupil Parliament plays a key role in organising exciting events that bring our school community together. We led the whole-school Children in Need fundraiser, where pupils took part in fun and engaging ‘Schooliators’ challenges. Our youngest learners in PS1 also enjoyed a special Peppa Pig disco, making the event inclusive and memorable for everyone. Through these initiatives, we not only raise funds for important causes but also create enjoyable experiences for our fellow pupils.
